Terms of Use
These terms set out the simple deal between you and Tetris.now. We give you a free, browser-based Tetris game with eleven modes, a daily challenge, a leaderboard, and multiplayer races, and in return we ask that you play fairly and use the site responsibly. By opening the game you agree to what follows, so please give it a read.
Nothing here is meant to be a trap. It is written in plain language, it takes effect in July 2026, and it covers how accounts work, what fair play means in our ranked modes, and the honest limits of a free service. If you do not agree with these terms, the fairest thing is to not use Tetris.now.
1. Agreeing to these terms
By visiting or playing Tetris.now, you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy. They apply to every visitor, every registered player, and anyone else who reaches the site.
2. What Tetris.now provides
Tetris.now is a free, browser-based falling-block game with eleven modes, a shared daily challenge, a leaderboard, and head-to-head multiplayer. There is nothing to download and nothing to pay. An account is optional and only unlocks extras such as leaderboard entries and streaks that follow you between devices.
3. Your optional account
If you create an account, whether with Google or with an email and password, you agree to give accurate details and to keep your credentials safe. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account. In particular, you agree to:
- Be at least 13 years old before registering
- Keep to a single account per person
- Not hand your login to anyone else
- Pick a username that is not offensive, misleading, or pretending to be someone else
- Tell us promptly if you think someone else has got into your account
4. Fair play in ranked modes
The daily challenge, the leaderboard, and multiplayer only work when everyone competes honestly. When you take part, you agree not to:
- Use bots, auto-players, or scripts to play or to submit results
- Tamper with timing, scoring, or the seeded piece order
- Open several accounts to gain an edge on the rankings
- Abuse a bug for a better score instead of reporting it to us
Results that look illegitimate may be removed, and the account behind them may be suspended.
5. Using the site responsibly
You agree not to:
- Try to reach any part of the service you are not meant to
- Disrupt or overload the servers or the networks behind them
- Upload or pass along any harmful or malicious code
- Scrape or bulk-harvest our content without written permission first
- Use multiplayer chat or usernames to harass, abuse, or spam other players
6. Who owns what on this site
The site itself, including our code, design, game engine, and written content, belongs to Tetris.now. The idea of stacking falling pieces is decades old, but our particular implementation, our words, and our branding are ours. Everything here is offered for personal, non-commercial play.
7. The Tetris name and trademark
Tetris.now is an independent fan project. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the companies that own the Tetris trademark. We use the word "Tetris" only to describe the classic falling-block gameplay this site offers. All trademarks and rights in the Tetris name belong to their respective owners.
8. Feedback you send us
If you send feedback, bug reports, or mode ideas, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to use them to improve the game. You keep ownership of whatever you submit, and we appreciate every suggestion.
9. Uptime and availability
We aim to keep Tetris.now up around the clock, but we cannot promise it will never go down. Planned or emergency maintenance may cause short interruptions. Any stats saved in your browser's local storage stay on your device and remain yours throughout.
10. Offered as is, with limited liability
Tetris.now is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, including lost stats or scores, arising from your use of or inability to use the game.
11. Suspending or closing accounts
We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, with or without notice. You are equally free to close your own account at any time by contacting us.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms now and then. Continuing to play after a change means you accept the revised version, and we will refresh the effective date at the top of this page whenever we make a meaningful update.
13. Getting in touch
